Community Involvement
Screamin' Mimi's is proud to be a part of Sonoma County and especially Sebastopol. After all , the owners live here and their children attend Sebastopol Schools. We believe that it's important to the health of a community to remain local. We care about being an active member of the community.
We believe that public education is important. For that reason, we are proud to support local schools by honoring all requests for donations. We are happy to donate product or gift certificates for events and school functions. If you are requesting a donation you may contact us using this form, but we highly recommend coming in in person. We receive many requests and we are happy to help, but it's best to come in and ask us and get an immediate response. We support local farmers and use locally grown produce whenever possible. Keeping it Local is very important to Screamin' Mimi's. The first Sunday in August we have our Pint for Pint Blood Drive. It has become Sonoma County's largest private blood drive, securing over 300 pints of blood in one day. Each pint can save up to 3 people. And donors get a free pint of Screamin' Mimi's ice cream. We are also a proud supporter of 4H. We are very proud to serve our ice cream to the more than 600 guests at the Annual 4H BBQ /Auction Fundraiser every September. We are happy to display artwork by local artists on our walls all year long. We also feature school artwork several times a year. Lastly , we are proud of our staff. over the past 20 years Screamin' Mimi's has employed hundreds of bright, enthusiastic Sonoma County young people. We've seen them graduate high school and college. We've seen them go off to different countries and do wonderful things, including starting beautiful families. We feel our greatest community involvement is helping these young people save money and grow into contributing members of society. We are so very proud of them. |
